When I found out my friend Melanie, whom I have known since the first grade and her husband were expecting their first child, I couldn’t be any more excited. When her mom contacted me to do the design for the baby shower invitation I was beyond ecstatic.
She sent me a link to the bedding she planned on ordering for little baby Ella and I immediately knew what I wanted to create for the invitations. I illustrated the monkey, elephant, giraffe, and zebra similar to what is pictured on the bedding. I also mostly hand-lettered the invitation (the sans-serif at the top, the word wild, and the names).
We are all super happy with the way the baby shower invitation turned out. She also asked me to design the thank you cards and candy bar wrappers that fit around full-size Hershey with Almonds.
