Seeing my best friend Rebel after almost 2 years was the most amazing thing even if it was only for one night. We woke up rather early to maximize our time together before she was to head back to Oceanside to finish up her vacation. When Sarah returned from her “adventures” the three of us headed out to grab some brunch and return Rebel to the greyhound station. I love and miss this girl so much and without her around I sometimes feel like a piece of me is missing. No distance can come between our relationship but I hope that one day we can be back in the same city or at least close.
After Rebel departed we relaxed a bit before heading to Cinefamily to see “Somebody Up There Likes Me” followed by a Q&A with Nick Offerman, the Director, and Jason Schwartzman. The movie was kind of cute and funny. We dined at a place called Mao’s Kitchen which served the best Chinese home cooking I’ve ever had.
Sunday, even though it was St. Patrick’s Day became chill day. Later in the evening my friend Zach picked me up and we drove around, had some fun, tried to get on the PCH, and grabbed a delicious custom burger from The Counter. After I was returned I wandered down to R Bar to meet up with Sarah and Noel and have a drink in celebration. Apparently after only two visits Noel is now VIP at R Bar and him and Sarah didn’t have to pay the cover but I’m not cool enough so I did…
Monday, Sarah and I decided to take another hike this time up to the Hollywood sign. It was another great hike with more beautiful views and it took us right behind and above the Hollywood sign. After the hike we picked up Noel and stopped at The Counter for burger round 2. This time I tried the veggie burger which was AMAZING!! Later that evening we had a few people over for drinks and hookah and one last hoorah before I leave. It was a great time, even though we got yelled at for being loud at 2:30 am.
So here I sit at LAX waiting for my plane to take me home. The 2 weeks I spent out here were some of the best times I’ve had in awhile. It was so wonderful seeing all of my old friends and I cherish the new memories I have made with them. I met some awesome people and made some connections which is what this trip was all about (other than helping Sarah move). I miss everyone already and I can’t wait for my return, which will be very soon! Thank you Sarah and Noel for letting me stay at your place and for putting up with me for so long! Now I must return to my bed, my family, and my little booger Sarlah. CAN’T WAIT!!!
