One of my very good friends in Ohio contacted me to create a logo. She has started making drums for kiddos using large cardboard tubes wrapped in colorful patterned duck tape. Latex is stretched across the bottom for resonation and the drum head made from tape is covered with the Shibby Time Drums logo.

Since the drum is circular, she wanted the logo to also be circular and she mentioned 60s band logos as reference. I did some brief research and I knew almost immediately what I wanted to design for her. I’ve been trying to create more hand-lettered pieces so I thought this would be a great opportunity to utilize my skills.

I love how it turned out and she couldn’t be any more happier with it.
